Patch v2.3


Patch 2.3 introduces two new concepts, character classes, and character perks!

Classes

Classes are picked at the start of the game. Your character class gives you starting stats, and will give you access to different skills throughout the game (coming soon next patch!)

  • Warrior class: Starts with 3 Strength and 1 Toughness. 
  • Knight class: Starts with 1 Strength and 3 Toughness. 
  • Mage class: Starts with 1 Toughness and 3 Willpower. 
  • Ninja class: Starts with 2 Strength and 1 Luck. 
  • Thief class: Starts with 1 Willpower and 3 Luck.

Perks

Perks are also picked at the start of the game, right after selecting a class. These provide your character with a little boost.

  • Sturdy: Start the game with 10% bonus physical resistance.
  • Magical: Start the game with 10% bonus magical resistance.
  • Evasive: Start the game with 10% bonus dodge chance.
  • Lucky: Start the game with +10% item drop chance.
  • Rich: Start the game with 250 extra gold.

General Changes

  • Raised HP of all monsters past dungeon depth 10.
  • Lowered monster armour and shield resistances.
  • Raised player base HP by 5.
  • Raised HP gained per toughness point from 3 -> 4.
  • Added Magic Wand to beginning shop.
  • Raised red potion health restoring. (Small 6, Med 12, Large 24)
  • Lowered damage scaling of player basic attacks from strength and willpower by 40%.
  • Raised spirit magic resist from -30% to -20%.
  • Changed the look of the interface.
  • Added a retire button under the "View Player" panel
  • Added a random name generator

New Items

  • Helm of the Ages (Headgear, Phys. Defence +2, Strength +1, Toughness +1, Willpower +1, Luck +1).
  • Spirit Cloak (Bodywear, Magic Defence +2, Willpower +1).
  • Bearskin Vest (Bodywear, Phys. Defence +2, Magic Defence +1, Toughness +1).
  • Tome of Secrets (Accessory, Willpower +2).

Bugfixes

  • Fixed a bug where triggering a mimic would not initiate a combat.
